Ok... this may be old news by now, forgive me if it is, but I have noticed that when I use bigger font when creating a thread, I get that damn warning about not being able to post it or something like that. Grrrrrrr But when I take away the size, then the thread is allowed to post. So SIZE matters!

In older time, I was always used to hearing "please be careful with that thing" from gfs. Now, I get a boring electronic warning stopping me in my tracks.

So, are we able to fix the "Size Matters" problem here???

I don't know if anyone has even had time to try. Nothing happens fast around here. After a while you get used to it, like waiting a year for oil paint to dry before you can varnish it.

I really think the particular bug where the screen scrolls compile-time character out of bounds warnings as if The Matrix had invaded your computer is caused by incompatibilities with the new version of the RTF editor, which is considerably different from the one we'd been using. I really think that, yes.

You can turn off the RTF editor and edit in plain text. It's easier to read, you get further surprises when you paste from web sites, you can still embed tags, and I haven't gotten the bug/feature in a week.

To be honest, z's right. I'm kinda swamped right now in real life and haven't had time to work on this. I poked around a bit but it didn't seem to make any difference.

And I'm not sure Ry has even begun messing around with the guts either, but it will happen. Just...you know...not super quick.

I'm getting old. I meant "fewer surprises." You get fewer surprises when you paste from web sites.

I was used to the old editor where you could grab text off a web site and drop it in the ipb editor, and you'd get pretty much straight text. Maybe the occasional boldface or different size font, but that was it.

Now it retains a lot more of whatever formatting html or css had given it on the page. Tabular data in particular comes out with a bunch of extra stuff guaranteed to cause the bug.

I notice that volume is way down here. DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY THIS BUG!!!!!! Seriously, turn off the rtf editor. Somewhere there's a switch that lets you switch to straight text. You can still embed tags, and I haven't had the bug in a week.
