Marc interviewed Richard Ben-Veniste, who was on the 9-11 commission, about 9-11 conspiracies. Apparently, Ben-Veniste avoided the topic even though Marc brought the subject up.

Marc takes issue with articles appearing on InfoWars that Marc brought Ben-Veniste on specifically to push back 9-11 truth. He reenacts three scenarios of how he booked Ben-Veniste on the show and asks people to consider which option is the realistic one.

Here's his interview with Richard Ben-Veniste from last Wednesday.

http://airamerica.com/content/richard-ben-veniste-interview#

Ben-Veniste was on plugging his book, The Emperor's New Clothes: Exposing Truth from Watergate to 9/11. His view is somewhat interesting because he was involved with *both* investigations---sort of a *long* view that is missing in our current MSM.

The only thing I'd say is that it was quite obvious that 9/11 Truth Movement was an after-thought of the interview. Sixteen minutes were spent on discussing Watergate vs. 9/11, government secrecy, the official investigations for both, the etc. Less than five minutes was spent discussing 9/11 Truth near the end.

As a sidenote, I'm quite irritated that the BreakRoom Live Chat is now overrun with 9/11 Truth Movement people clogging up the chat. I'm not there to discuss 9/11. I'm there to watch the show and occasionally comment on the show. Now, I ignore the chat cuz I'm tired of constant discussion about topics unrelated to the show.

It'd be like if I showed up to the chatroom for CNN and started talking about my favorite sweater....

It's rude, it's annoying, and it only turns off people who might be receptive to 9/11 Truth.

Sometimes, I think the 9/11 Truth Movement itself has been infiltrated with people intentionally trying to discredit the movement. This is one of those times....

What's *really* funny is that Maron has been watching videos and reading up on Alex Jones' stuff recently. And now, someone who was researching and learning about 9/11 on his own is now *totally* turned off.

Agreed. It's too bad. What any reasonable discussion he would have engaged in went "POOF" with these jerks who think anyone who disagrees with them or doesn't play patty-cake exactly like they want, they start throwing the "left gatekeeper" and "corporate shill" label at them.

So...after bitching about it this morning, the chat for BRL was fine today.
