I'm watching right now. They've put an *awful* lot of stage make-up on her.

But she's doing *awesome*!!!!

Subscribe to that in Google Reader/Bloglines/etc. or click the links on her MSNBC page to watch individual segment video. There's an introductory ad and an ad placed next to the video so I'm going to guess that her show won't be showing up on YouTube if they can sell ads for video on the MSNBC site.

I'm staying up past my bedtime to watch this show. Good interview with David Corn about McSame's connection to a con man. But I can do without Pat Buchanan.

I must admit, Kent Jones isn't as bad on the cable show as he was on Rachel's radio show.

Buchanan had a good point that the core Palin voters aren't going to be confused by little annoyances like the facts. I suspect he's on to sell the show to MSNBC, and it wouldn't surprise me if he's being groomed for something bigger.

Is it wrong if those numbers make me a little sick as well?

I mean, YAY RACHEL!! and all but, do they have to dominate *every* slot. I get that some slots, more people are watching *something* other than Fox (5P, 7P, 9P, 10P) but ugh....

Actually, looking at the raw numbers, more total viewers *are* watching something other than Fox both day and prime time.

Never mind.

It's interesting how she occasionally has as guests Air America personalities to do the Talk Me Down segments and whatnot. As soon as that Minnesota election fight is over, she's just GOTTA have Al Franken on. Ya think?

The Rachel Maddow Show" Only Cable News Program Nominated For TV Critics' Award

MSNBC's "The Rachel Maddow Show" is the only cable news show nominated for the Television Critics' Association Awards. In the category "Outstanding Achievement in News & Information," Maddow's show is nominated along with CBS' "60 Minutes," HBO's "The Alzheimer's Project," and PBS' "Frontline" and "We Shall Remain."

The TCA awards will be presented August 1st at The Langham, Huntington Hotel and Spa in Pasadena, California.

I want to go on record that Maddow is one of the best tv show hosts in such a short time. I applaud her performance and talent to get the message out and investigate into the NEOCONs!

I got to hand it to her for the top-drawer investigative reporting she's been doing--broke that C Street/The Family item that was carried by other networks, with all due credit given to Rachel for it. She is what journalism is supposed to be.
