Be that as it may, the followers of Jesus haven't had a real great record since.

If I remember right, her last election was a close one, and her opponent was pretty much unknown. Tinkerbalm or something like that. I'd have to go back through the thread. Hopefully this time her opponent can get more exposure and outsmart her. Maybe then the district will come to their senses.

Teabagger Queen is Handout Queen:

File this under all-together unsurprising hypocrisy: yet again, Tea Party darling Michele Bachmann has been found to be the beneficiary of “Socialist” largess. Despite the Congresswoman’s rantings against “socialized medicine”, information from Minnesota’s Transperancy and Accountability Project shows her husband’s clinic has in fact been the recipient of nearly $30,000 in government money since 2007.
On the one hand, Ms Bachmann talks a mean streak about the dangers of socialism and the creeping government hand in our economy. (In fact, did you know that before September 2008, 100% of the private economy was private? Or that since that time 51% has been taken over by the government, thanks to Obama?) She was one of the loudest voices on the right during the Health Care debate, decrying “handouts” and desperately attempting to rile up the Tea Party movement to squash the Democrats’ health care bill.

At a conservative summit in Denver, the kook railed about Donald Burwick, the Head of Medicare, calling him worse than Dr. Kavorchian.

She equates tea partiers with war heroes and refused to denounce racism.
Bachmann denounced the NAACP’s resolution calling on the Tea Parties to expel the “racist elements” in their ranks. Bachmann said that actually, Tea Party protestors have much more in common with World War II heroes.

From The Young Turks:
The kook wants to issues subpoenas on "all the nonsense" if republicans gain the House and makes the absurd claim that under Obama administration, 65% of the economy is owned by the federal government.

Damn!! Youtube boats in the area!! How dreadful! YOUTUBE SUBS!!!
(1:17 in vid)
So a Youtube sub is a .... a video on some alternative video channel? Maybe on Fox News...
People really do need to stop listening to this crap and toss it out with the eggshells and coffee grounds. All of this nonsense is distracting people from the real problems -- it's a sort of 'la-la-la I can't hear you' (As Arthur Silber pointed out a short while back). People need to grow up.
