Rather than bump.gif an old thread that has some inadvertant personal information in it, I thought I'd start a new thread. This comes for a suggestion for ShelaghC for a Liberal/Progressive TV area at AAP. I responded with:

QUOTE
Actually, we're still kinda discussing things. We've been waiting to see how things shake out. I think we've decided to wait until after the election to do any revamping.

First things first and all. But definitely, speak up for what you are interested in. That way we can try and incorporate everyone's ideas into the mix.

I think media---radio being primary---is our focus. TV, books, blogs, etc.

I think we are seeing a broadening of progressive talk, and that's good. I think we are also seeing things like Olbermann succeed for the same reason. People want something more than Fox and Rush.

So...I'll throw it out there: What are you all interested in? What would you like to see added/dropped/clarified on this board?

Things are going to slow down politically now---except that war on Christmas we all got planned for the next two weeks. But after we've finished invading Christmas, perhaps we could turn to the homeland---AAP.

Any ideas, folks?

So far, I found threads with requests for:

changes to forum descriptions
addition of a liberal/progressive TV area

What's your suggestion?

I think at some point, this forum should be rebranded. We all love Air America, but Air America is maybe 35-40% of what this forum is about, at most. Hell, there are progressive regulars on this forum that aren't even fans of the network any longer. Maybe it's time for this forum to identify itself with progressive talk radio in general than Air America.

How about a totally off topic area that has nothing to do with politics?

Ummm..... you're kinda posting in it! Remember, the lounge is the place to "discuss what ever is floating your boat at the moment"

And there's the Sunday Papers where you can put any news story you want, any day of the week. This forum hasn't really been getting its props. TriSec has been doing all the posting. Let's help TriSec and post all manner of weirdness. Raine's been helping by posting about a Rocky Horror Picture Show that's still going strong. Ours is still going strong too, and people still go every week, and I know some of them. There are enough new people that you can't start out as a Brad or Janet, you have to start as a Transylvanian and work up.

Show biz is tough, OK?
